Assisted/Independent Living Facility Administrator

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree or 200 contact hour certification from an accredited college in health care, business administration, or related field
- Currently licensed as a Residential Care Administrator (RCA) or Health Facility Administrator (HFA)
- Previous experience in supervising a retirement community or long-term care facility
- Knowledge of all phases of the operation of a residential care facility (including, but not limited to: housekeeping, dietary, maintenance, and nursing)
- Knowledge of the principles of management and supervision, as well as the principles of budgeting and accounting
- Working knowledge of rules and regulations for maintaining licensure
- Some knowledge of marketing and labor/management relations (preferred)
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES SUMMARY
- Communicate effectively, analyze problems, and identify practical solutions
- Develop and implement annual plans for the Facility
- Manage Facility operations within established guidelines
- Provide proper management of the financial and business affairs of the Facility
- Maintain quality lifestyle and health care for Facility residents
- Provide for positive public relations with the community, officials of government, residents, and their families
- Provide effective supervision of staff for all departments
- Provide for the evaluation, revision, and consistent application of administrative, resident care, and personnel policies and procedures
